States of Matter

Water is a unique substance because it can take each phase of matter, solid/liquid/gas, on the planet Earth.
Solid - ice, snow
Liquid - oceans, rivers, lakes, drinking water
Gas - water vapor, steam, clouds

    independently and leave large spacing in between
